Ok, so, I’m not sure how I found this, but it’s a real thing. These are a series of illustrations from ”Self-defence With A Walking-stick: The Different Methods of Defending Oneself with a Walking-stick or Umbrella when Attacked under Unequal Conditions“ by E. W. Barton-Wright, published in the Jan., 1901 issue of Pearson’s Magazine. I stole it from this site.

Fencing at the 16th Asian Games

Today Bon Gil Gu of South Korea won the gold medal in the Men’s Individual Sabre Final against Man Zhong of China at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.

Just two years ago, Man Zhong took home the gold in the Men’s Individual Sabre Final at the Olympics. It was China’s 2nd fencing gold medal in 24 years!
