I like the ship’s smokestacks at left. They look as though they’re sticking out of the roof.
Lighter Than Air: The ‘Ville de Paris’ (by postaletrice)
The airship La Ville de Paris was built in 1904 by Edward Surcouf and owned by M. Deutsch de la Meurthe. It was 201 ft long and 35 ft in diameter. The stern housed eight gas envelopes which helped to steady it. It’s pretty cute. I especially like the color drawing.
