Five Things About NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover
It’s pretty cute. Curiosity is bigger than its sisters, Spirit and Opportunity. It’s the size of a mini cooper and comes equipped with ten science instruments, including a laser. (Perhaps attached to its head?)
The wheels are really neat. They all have independent drive motors and the two in front and back have individual steering motors. Need to make a 360 degree turn in place? No problem.
